River of Life Pastoral Leadership Institute (ROLPLI) is to equip pastoral
leaders with the vision, the knowledge, and the strategy for engaging
in God’s kingdom work. To achieve these three goals, ROLPLI’s training
consists of three parts:
1. The Vision of Church Planting
In two decades, God has blessed Ling- Leung churches with establishment
of more than 200 churches in Taiwan, North, Central and South America,
New Zealand, Australia, Africa, and Europe, yet the field is ripe and
the harvest is still plentiful. Through the actual participation and
internship, ROLPLI will equip the students with a vision of spreading
the gospel and building healthy growing churches. The students will be
awarded with Certificate of Nehemiah after completion of this training.
2. The Knowledge of the Bible
This part of training is to equip the students with a thorough understanding
of the Bible. The training will focus on hermeneutics, arguments, and
biblical theology of every book of the Bible. The students will be
awarded with Certificate of Ezra after completion of this training.
3. The Strategy of Ministry
The student will visit and observe three healthy church ministries or
Christian organizations, analyze and report on the factors that made
those organizations successful. Then the student will write a D. Min.
level dissertation stating the strategy that one intends to use to
build a healthy church or Christian organization for God’s kingdom.
After completing the three above stated parts of work, the student will
be awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree, provided one already has a M.Div.
degree from other seminary. If the student has not already had a M.Div.
degree, the academic record will state that one has the D.Min. graduate
study. The student will then have up to 7 years to acquire a M.Div. degree
from a recognized seminary. Upon completion of the M.Div. degree, ROLPLI
will then confer upon the student the D.Min. degree.
It is our desire to see the graduates from ROLPLI become valiant soldiers
of God’s kingdom in this end time.
