CERTIFICATE OF NEHEMIAH (8 semester hours)BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL CELL GROUP CHURCH (1 hour) – “Cell Group Church“
is one of the four strategies River of Life Christian Church used to
build this growing church. This course will teach you and provide actual
internship on how to build a successful cell group church.
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL (1 hour) – “Spiritual Renewal” is one of four strategies of ROLCC ministry. This course will teach and provide internship on how to help Christians in sanctification through the renewal ministry of the Holy Spirit.
GLOCAL IMPACT (1 hour) – Global + Local, the integration of global and local ministry to bring the gospel to the world. This is one of the four strategies of ROLCC ministry. This course will show you how it is actually carried out in establishing churches locally and globally.
CHURCH ADMINISTRATION (1hour) – River of Life grows from 70 people to over two thousand in 12 years, with additional 62 daughter churches. This course will teach you how to set up an administration system that is conducive, not obstructive, to the church growth.
HOLISTIC HEALING (1 hour) – Holistic healing includes the healing of body, spirit, and soul. The course helps you receive the gift of healing, practice the gift of healing, and build a team that ministers holistic healing.
SPIRITUAL WARFARE (1 hour) –Christians face spiritual warfare everyday. This course helps the students gain insight into the demonic scheme, develop strategies to break the strongholds, conduct spiritual mapping, change the spiritual condition of a community, and build God’s army for spiritual battle to spread the gospel.
MENTORING (1 hour) – The student will spend 3 to 6 months in River of Life to learn the above mentioned courses. During which time, the student will be arranged to stay with a host family and mentored by a ROLCC pastor. This arrangement is to facilitate the learning and to sharpen the spiritual growth of the student.
CERTIFICATE OF EZRA (25 semester hours)PENTATEUCH (2 hours) – Learn the hermeneutics of Torah literature through the book of Leviticus. This course will focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument from Genesis to Deuteronomy.
PROPHETIC BOOKS (2 hours) – Isaiah to Malachi, including major and minor prophets. This course will focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument.
HISTORICAL BOOKS (2 hour) – Learn the hermeneutics of the narrative literature through the books of 1 & 2 Kings. This course will focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument from Joshua to Esther.
WISDOM BOOKS (2 hours) – Learn the hermeneutics of the wisdom literature through Ecclesiastes and the Song of Songs. This course will focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument from Job to Song of Songs.
GOSPEL BOOKS (1hour) – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. This course will focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument.
PAULINE EPISTLES (1hour) – Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon. This course will focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument of these 13 books.
ACTS, NON-PAULINE EPISTLES (2 hour) – Learn the hermeneutics of the apocalyptic literature through the book of Revelation. This course will also focus on the biblical theology, analysis, and argument of Acts, Hebrew, General Epistles (James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2, & 3 John, Jude) and Revelation.
PREACHING METHOD (1 hour) – Learn from spirit-filled pastors the effective communication of God’s words.
FUNCTIONAL GREEK (1hour) – Learn Greek alphabets, basic grammar, and how to use Greek dictionary and Greek software.
FUNCTIONAL HEBREW (1hour) – Learn Hebrew alphabets, basic grammar, and how to use Hebrew dictionary and Hebrew software.
THE HISTORY AND FUTURE OF THE CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT (1 hour)– Explore the history and the current trend of the charismatic movement to search for the principle and method of the working of the Holy Spirit, and to understand its relationship with church revival.
APOSTOLIC CHURCH AND THE MINISTRY OF FIVE-FOLD OFFICES (1 hour)– Explore how apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, and pastors, the five-fold offices, function in the establishment and growth of the 21st century church.
PROPHETIC MINISTRY (1 hour) – Prophetic ministry is evident in the OT as well as the NT. This course will focus on the office, ministry and the exercise of the prophetic gift.
CHARISMATIC THEOLOGY (1 hour) – This course will focus on the person and the work of the Holy Spirit, and analyze and learn from the charismatic phenomena. CHRISTIAN WORLD VIEW AND CHRISTIAN ETHICS (2 hours) – Learn the biblical world view and the ethics that are built upon the Christian world view.
LEADERSHIP (1hour) – The art of leadership as exemplified by the characters in the Bible.
PERSONAL EVANGELISM (1hour) – Learn a personal evangelism approach that is designed toward people with Chinese cultural background.
PASTORAL COUNSELING I (1hour) – Learn basic counseling knowledge and skill in the area of personal and family ministry; this course will focus especially in the area of pre-marital, marital, and crisis counseling.
PASTORAL COUNSELING II (1 hour) – Learn basic counseling knowledge and skill in the area of team ministry; this course will focus especially in the area of talent, temperament, and spiritual gift analysis and counseling.
DOCTOR OF MINISTRY DISSERTATION (3 hours)DISSERTATION METHOD (0 hour) – Learn format of dissertation, and familiarize oneself with the nature, direction and the requirement of a D.Min. dissertation.
DISSERTATION (3 hours) – The completion of the dissertation consists of three parts. 1. Observe and analyze three healthy churches or Christian organizations, and make a concise yet clear report. 2. Write a strategic plan regarding how one is to lead the church or the Christian organization to which one belongs. 3. Successfully defend one’s D.Min. dissertation.
